The delivery gap is the real trade-off. Bol.com and Coolblue both beat Temu on speed by a wide margin, which matters if you need something before Sinterklaas or Christmas specifically. Hacks that actually worked

1. Check the app daily during a check-in streak run. Missing even one day resets the streak in our testing, which is the single most common way shoppers lose a free-gift claim they’d already half-earned.
2. Don’t pad a cart just to hit a spend-gated gift threshold. We ran the math on our test order — the “free” gift was worth less than the extra items we’d have needed to add. Only chase spend-gated gifts on carts that would hit the threshold anyway.
3. Use iDEAL over PayPal for speed. iDEAL cleared instantly every time; PayPal added a short delay once in our testing.
